Dynamics of Language, Standard (s) and Creativity. Reflections on the Linguistic Imaginary (IL)

Summary/Abstract: The linguistic creativity, the norm(s) and the deviation from the norm(s) entered recently, as linguistic concepts, under the sight of the re-searchers and need a closer look from a journalistic point of view. Based on the theories of the researchers, in this paper we have proposed to reveal the journa-listic language style, starting from some journal articles published in the lam-poon magazines Plai cu boi and Academia Caţavencu, in which lies a tendency towards linguistic aggression and imagistic language, manifested creatively in a specific language style. This attraction to novelty, to verbal violence, to the defiance of the linguistic norms, based on the principle that each speaker speaks his own language, is linguistically expressed through metaphor, slang, invented words, manifested all on an oral linguistic style, marking the dynamic of the lan-guage, its progress and its constantly renewing.
