Summary/Abstract: Transport has always been a substantial element of national economy of every country. Nowadays, in the age of globalization and vanishing borders, international transport becomes much more effective than it was several years ago and therefore much more rational. International trade gives rise to the need of transfer of goods not only domestically but also internationally. The author of the paper used the approach proposed by B. Kos in 1998 when choosing the methodology. Main theses of the paper are as follows: road transport is predestined for gas transport; gas shippers should strictly observe ADR agreement and limit the risk of road incidents; methods of hierarchical modeling enable choosing optimal routes for dangerous goods conveyances (including gas). Therefore it is legitimate to use available methods to choose rational routes and protect dangerous goods during transport.
