Comments on the electromobility development plan in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The Government-Approved Strategy for Responsible Development assumes a dynamic growth in the number of used electric cars. The analysis of barriers and opportunities for the development of electromobility in Poland indicates however that the plan is too optimistic. The evolution of the e-car industry should be evolving. However, the implementation of the project must be proceeded in a certain order. It is necessary to provide funds for Polish e-car research, to undertake reform of mining and energy, to create favorable conditions for the development of renewable energy resources, then to take care of the proper infrastructure of public charging stations and to start the system of supporting the purchase of e-cars. Without a comprehensive and systematic approach, the plans for the rapid development of electromobility will remain solely political declarations.
