Organisational eco-innovations in the companies located in the Podkarpackie Province – the aspect of costs

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to analyse the costs incurred by 63 companies based in the Podkarpacie Province, which decided to implement and certify the organisational ecoinnovations voluntarily. The analysis covered 80 representatives of the senior management, the so called “agents”. The analysed entities varied both in terms of the business profile, the organisational and legal form and the size. The analysed type of the eco-innovations was implemented on the basis of requirements of the international standard − ISO 14001. From among the Podkarpacie agents, 68.25% claimed that no methodology for calculation of costs and internal benefits related to the implementation and functioning of the organisational eco-innovation was developed in the form of the environmental management system in the entities represented by them. The most capital-intensive phases of implementation of the organisational eco-innovation included the certification and the implementation phase.
