Monitoring and evaluation of incubation programmes – international and Polish perspective

Summary/Abstract: The Polish Business Support Organizations have not been able to implement standards for measuring their performance. As the development of incubation programmes in Poland has mainly been supported by European Union (EU) funds, the monitoring and evaluation of their impact have been focused only on reporting project indicators. The aim of this article is to show the need of designing a monitoring and evaluation model for the Polish incubation programmes. Firstly, the Polish Business Support Organization’s system is described, then, good practices and manuals which could be adapted to Polish monitoring and evaluation system are presented, and, finally, the next steps for designing of the model are proposed.
