What model of Dehonian priest does the Church need today

Summary/Abstract: The issue of the priesthood and its mission in the Catholic Church became the subject of care of the Second Vatican Council and of the Popes in the context of numerous crises and of the expectation voiced by the laity. The priest of the Sacred Heart, living the priestly charisma of his Congregation, can contribute to the fruitful revival of this Congregation only when he became the man of liturgy and mystagogy in the sacraments that he celebrates (Eucharist, penance and reconciliation), only when he became the model of Christian perfection, the witness of evangelical values and the model of life in the community of brothers.
