Cities as a place of cumulation of crime

Summary/Abstract: The role of cities in shaping socio-economic development in the new economy is special. As driving forces for regions and microregions, they show both positive and negative rates of change. This, among other things, implies that developmental impulses in the modern economy are received and transmitted by large cities (with greater force) and by small ones which in the majority can only count on the possibility of receiving these impulses from large centers such as the agglomerations or the metropolis. For obvious reasons, the strength of their own economic influence is too small. This does not affect the differentiation of particular socio-economic spaces. This is also important for shaping crime in its various forms.
