Economic resilience of Wrocław in the context of European cities

Summary/Abstract: The paper refers to the following issue: what is the economic resilience of a particular city in the context of other urban units. Thus, the paper aims at determination of Wrocław’s economic resilience in correspondence to others, comparable in terms of economy, urban units in Europe. In theoretical and methodological parts the article is based on a desk research on the urban resilience’s literature as well as it applies indicators analysis to assess the economic resilience of cities. In empirical part, it presents outcomes and conclusions connected with economic resilience of Wrocław with comparison to other, selected European cities, identified as comparable to Wrocław in terms of: GDP level, GDP dynamics, employment level and employment dynamics in the period 2000–2013.
