Innovativeness in the investment activity of the sector of SMEs on the examination of investigation studies

Summary/Abstract: Innovation and related investments play an important role in the process of development and improvement of the competitiveness of the small and medium enterprises sector in Poland. Investigating the level of innovation and the amount of investment in this sector has been the subject of many authors. The article analyzes the nature of investment projects with particular focus on innovation investments, the amount of investment and the source of their financing. Low level of innovation is one of the key problems of Polish economy. Meanwhile, its knowledge and skillful use has recently become a key factor in determining the attractiveness and competitiveness of consumers in the global market. Taking into account these factors and the results of our own research; the author tries to answer the question: Do companies invest or increase their innovation?
