Summary/Abstract: In this paper, as a beginning, it has been set the frame of the ontology of art and then certain evaluations on the ontology of cinema have been made regarding the ideas of cinema which has been proposed by the certain theorists studied on cinema. The differentiating feature of cinematographic image is that its image structure is based on animated images. The movement capacity of images is not just a technical advance. This advance also induced to research on human beings’ spiritual lives by means of new possibilities deriving from the movement capacity of images and hereby, it has been possible to comprehend the new dimensions of human existence by cinema. Therefore, in this article, it has been aimed to enlighten the ontological possibility of such an art.
