“Archangel paper” against every evil

Amuletic scroll from the ХІX th century in St. St. Cyril and Methodius National library

Summary/Abstract: The article represents one curios manuscript stored in St. St. Cyril and Methodius National library’s collection of Slavonic manuscripts. It is remarkable for its shape of a scroll and for its amuletic content. So called late “abagar” was written in 1834 year. Texts on the border between the prayer and the charm, cryptograms and magic seals have been found there for the first time. The research is realized in two directions – analytic and comparative. The whole text of the amulet has been copied at the end of the article.
