Summary/Abstract: The article aims to touch upon discourse and it‘s coherence, the latter being crucial in our communication. The way we frame our utterances and the degree to which we interpret what other people say depend very much on certain rules and factors that render the message coherence. Pragmatic theories and background information are a few of the factors which have to be taken into consideration while creating and interpreting discourse.
