Mircea Lăzărescu and the time between two centuries

Summary/Abstract: At the beginning of the 21st century, which sits under the sign of speed, time control and paradoxically lack of time, Mircea Lăzărescu, renowned psychiatrist and psychopathologist, debates the perception of time in the 20th century, on philosophical coordinates, in a comparative essay, by analyzing this theme in the works of M. Eliade, E. Cioran and C. Noica, by reference to M. Heidegger's major work "Being and Time". In a slightly literary manner, the author proposes to set up the "ideational portraits" of the three coryphaei and to establish in the history of European thought the Romanian contribution to the 20th century philosophy of culture.
