Summary/Abstract: Dumitru Cristănuş, an author from Banat, living in Sibiu, debuting late, has remained on his own, outside his generation of the 1980’s in which he would have belonged, lacking its support critique. His poetry is thus long polished, densely metaphorical, in the eminently grave range, lacking the irony and the presence of the quotidian, specific to his congeners of the 1980’s.The leitmotif is solitude, in different hypostases, omnipresent, even in childhood memories. Memory appears as a nostalgic absence, a form of organic solitude. In this tentacular concatenation, dream is an illusion of freedom – other recurrent motifs in his poems.
