Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the study is to assess the economic activity of women aged 50 and over in the first and fourth quarter of 2014. The information base of the study was composed of individual non-identifiable data from the Economic Activity Survey, which were bought from Central Statistical Office. An array of multipliers was built to evaluate the relationships between the selected variables characterizing the activity of the 50+ women’s labor market. Comparing the occupational activity of older people by gender, it can be seen that in all age groups their activity is lower among women. The studies show that a large group of women 50+ is not active and are not looking for a job. The main reasons for their low activity in the labor market are: obtaining retirement and/or disability benefits, being unable to find a job, being under care of a husband, also caring for grandchildren and disabled family members.
