Expenditures of 50+ households on free time managing – statistical analysis

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the research presented in the article is the statistical analysis and modeling of expenditures, related to free time managing. To quantify the regularities of these expenses, under the influence of selected variables, the power-exponential model was used. The study refers to 2014 and the data set included 20 607 households in which the head of household was 50 years old and more. The analysis was conducted based on a set of individual, non-identifiable data of household budgets, which have been made available for consideration by the CSO. The study has shown a significant positive impact of the level of total expenditure per capita and negative impact of number of people of a household. Statistically significant was also the impact of class of locality, subjective assessment of the financial situation of a household and the education and age of the head of the household.
