Summary/Abstract: The present paper tries to present the possible sources for a Romanian-English legal term base which may be used effectively by a present day translator. The introductory part argues for the importance of term bases in general, connecting the idea with machine translation and computer-assisted translation. The next section presents the possible sources for creating a legal term base for the two languages involved, mentioning problematic issues regarding the sources.
