Insertion of Numerals in Specialized Languages

Summary/Abstract: The numeral, the conceptual characteristics that give a part of speech the features of a specialised term,insertion in terminology/specialised discourse represent the theme to be approached in our study. Having a relatively small relevance in terminology, the use of the numeral as a term is fundamental in the languages of mathematics, physics and chemistry (partially), in numerous fields of engineering (developed interdisciplinarily : mechanics/ mathematics, mechanics/ physics etc). In the languages of economy medicine and sports there is an interdisciplinary growth of fields / subfields based on the insertion of mathematical terms (medical statistics, statistics in economics etc). These are only a few of the objectives derived by the study (applied and theoretical) we shall focus on approaching. The descriptive-linguistic method and contrastive method are used preponderently.
