Business model vs. innovation

Summary/Abstract: In the article the author tries to scrutinize the relation between business model and innovation. The aim of the article is to depict the relationships between these two concepts. Firstly, there was presented the essence of business model and the goal of this article. In the next part of the article there are depicted different definitions of business model renewal. Then there are described different attitudes to definition of innovation and classification of innovations. The most important part of the article is the conception of integration of business model renewal and innovation process. The basis of business model renewal are both technological innovations and other innovations relating to market and process aspects like the way in which the value for customers is delivered. However, the most important requisite for successful implementation of technological innovation is making it fit into proper business model.
