Summary/Abstract: Economic, political and social influences on the standard form of the individual employment contract are complexe and led to a more flexible regulatory framework in the field of labor relations. Some of the most important factors that marked the evolving trend of the atypical employment contracts are: the globalization of labour markets and the economic and political changes worldwide, the development of the information and technological environment, the increasing number of women who entered the labor market in recent decades, as well as legislative framework on which those alternative work arrangements are based. The exploration of these factors and circumstances, that involved a proliferation of non-standard or atypical forms of employment, is an important element in this scientific endeavor to ensure a better understanding of the ”atypical work” phenomenon and its implications in the field of labor relations.
