The Influence of European Law on the Development of Public Administration and Administative Justice in Austria

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this contribution is to inform the general public of the current status of control of the legality of public administration in Austria after a major reform known as the „Novelle 2012“. The contribution describes the reasons and motives that led to the professional and political public in Austria to these radical changes and gives information about the bodies exercising control over the legality of public administration at the present time and their scope of specific knowledge and about the results of the effectiveness of the reform in the first year of application.
