Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with questions of determination of maintenance amount for children. It summarizes the rules for determination of maintenance duty given by the law and the rules used by courts by setting the maintenance amount. The paper describes several methods that can help to determine the maintenance amount. It evaluates the positives and negatives of these methods and it compares them in the light of fair-mindedness.
