Summary/Abstract: This paper examines faunal and human remains discovered in the archaeological site of Târgu-Neamţ-Dealul Pometea (Neamţ County, Romania) corresponding to Chalcolithic (Cucuteni culture, phase B) and modern periods. Theas semblage consists of 101 identified remains: 47 of domestic mammals, 44 of frog and 10 of human. Domestic mammals, of garbage origin both cucutenian and modern, are: cattle (Bos taurus), sheep/goat (Ovia aries/Capra hircus), pig (Sus scrofa domesticus) and dog (Canis familiaris). The frog has been identified as Agile Frog (Rana dalmatina) and its remains are considered as intrusive in the archaeological level. Human remains are probably modern, belonging to a child of about 3.5 years old.
