Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to point out popular collocations that have become widespread thanks to Internet memes, and form part of the memetic code, the youth vocabulary and colloquial language. By means of comparison of utterances recurrent in the database containing approx. 10,000 Polish memes with web-based dictionaries’ entries as well as with Internet texts (e.g. posts on discussion forums, blogs, article headlines, advertisements, lyrics) enabled the author to extract 28 collocations disseminated by Internet memes. The article attempts at outlining the process of dissemination and the evolution of meaning of two extracted collocations.
