Summary/Abstract: Every man, regardless of the stage of his death, has the right to be treated with dignity, including burial. This article deals with the legal aspects of burial of children lost as the result of miscarriage. It combines two legal systems: state law applicable to the Republic of Poland and canon law in this respect. The author signals previous legal regulations and thoroughly analyzes current legislation in this area. The article is not only a form of presentation of the current legislation, but also an attempt to demonstrate issues of concerns and it points to the loopholes in this issue.
