Summary/Abstract: The paper identifies the features of fertility in the population of Belgrade that can be regarded as a manifestation of the second demographic transition. The analysis focuses on fertility decline, its age model, birth postponing, extramarital births, and exclusion from reproduction. It compares the municipalities constituting the inner city to those belonging to the suburbs, and checks whether the fertility changes correspond to the context of the second demographic transition.
