Summary/Abstract: In Poland, for several years strong expansion of cities into a rural areas has been observed. The pace and scale of these changes create a lot of spatial conflicts, as well as the cultural landscape of rural areas being irreversible transformations. Currently, most of the decisions relating to the shape and landscape protection is taken within the municipal planning documents. The aim of the study is identification of factors integrating and disintegrating space of single-family residential in the Poznan suburban area. The objective is realized by analyzing the records of local plans and verification of their performance based on the specific case of two housing complexes.
