Gender equality and the differences in retirement age.

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the subject of differences in terms of men’s and women’s retirement ages in Poland. Author overviews the principles of the old and new pension systems (entitlement to retirement, pension amount), particularly consequences of women’s lower retirement age. Also the judicial decision of the Constitutional Tribunal on the compliance with the constitution of the women’s lower retirement age is covered as well.
