Summary/Abstract: The transfer of successional rights to heirs, from the opening of the inheritance, is not conditioned by the existence of the seizin; the latter is, however, interesting from the perspective of transmission of the inheritance possession. However, sometimes, the successional patrimony is possessed by people whose successional rights are contested, by way of heredity petition, by those who claim to be the true heirs.
