Summary/Abstract: There is no doubt that each social group to the smooth implementation of specific tasks needs a leader, a person who will stand on its head, was motivated to act, and created the right conditions for cooperation in order to achieve the intended results. The fact that the issue of leaders deal with the representatives of many disciplines such as pedagogy, psychology, sociology, management and other testifies to the fact that they play an important role in society, and therefore there is a need to continuously increase knowledge in this field. Although leaders may be either a single unit, as well as institutions, this study focuses on individual activists. Who, then, they are social leaders, what characteristics should have, and what are the motivations of their actions– a question on which planned to answer in this study.
