Legal education for pupils: a project absolutely necessary for the future of Romania

Summary/Abstract: In the last years, more and more children and young people have come to the courts. Whether they were involved as authors, victims or witnesses in criminal cases, whether they were involved in civil proceedings such as the parents' divorce, they have been already in contact with police officers, prosecutors or judges. The paradox is that in Romania the age for criminal liability or for fines is 14, but nobody explains these things to young people regularly and with practical examples. This is the goal for the volunteers from a unique project in this region of Europe - Eduiuris, legal education for students in schools and high schools.
