Summary/Abstract: Uav – unmanned aerial vehicle as the army’s item of equipment is the military weapon, which is universally used throughout the contemporary battlefield for combating enemy forces. The present article concerns the problem if the 51st article of the Charter of the United Nations is applicable as the response to aggression from the non-state subject, which is the terrorist organization. The article concerns the Bush Doctrine and National Security Strategy of the United States in this context too. In the further part, the article concerns the legal aspects of using drones for combating international terrorism, looking for the answers if the using of drones is legitimate according to the international humanitarian law.
