The contemporary political and economic system of the People's Republic of China

Summary/Abstract: The article treats about present economic model of People’s Republic of China, in the context of political system and the economy as well. The author tries to explain key characteristics of the unique hybrid combination of two extremely separate ideologies – communism and capitalism, which, after being adopted to the country’s cultural circumstances, became the crucial basis for its development. Furthermore, new directions and trends in national policy has been presented as the main factors of reasonable growth and sustainability against the ever-changing economic conditions. There is also paragraph which sets out the Chinese strategy of building international relations. At the end of the article, the efficiency of central reforms taken so far has been verified.
