THE INSURANCE OF DAMAGES CAUSED BY FAILURES OF GAS SYSTEMS IN POLAND

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to demonstrate the desirability of considering insurance of gas system in Poland. The basis for implementation so the task is a parallel of information about the claims of failure of the gas system and the methodology for determining premiums in property insurance. Subject appears to be negligible due to the relatively low incidence of major accidents. From the point of view of the real danger one should recognize the topic is worth interest. It turns out that despite the small number of failures, the operator of the transmission network, insures property, for which he is responsible. Hence the conclusion that such a service is profitable for both parties to this agreement. In order to achieve more concrete results, there are needed further studies, which are based largely on gathering representative amount of data. Article aims to highlight the problem and encourage the Reader to become acquainted with this topic
