Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on marketing activities in public education institutions. The educational services market has been constantly evolving in recent years. It is becoming more diverse, while schools increasingly operate in a competitive environment. These conditions force schools into certain behaviors such as promoting their educational services. To this end, educational institutions must use marketing tools in order to maintain their market position. This can give rise to positive effects such as sound competition and an overall improvement of the level of services provided. However, it may also have a negative impact on the quality of education.
