Summary/Abstract: The aim of our research is to investigate the phraseological units concerning time which contain in their structure different categories of archaisms (lexical; phonetic; grammatical; semantic and derivational) and historicisms. The possibility of archaic elements to be component parts of phraseological units involves the distinguishing features of these expressions: polilexity; reproducibility; stability; idiomaticity; complexity and expressiveness
