Summary/Abstract: In this article there are explored the innovative practices applied regarding teacher training at an international level. Different kinds and forms of teachers’ training within the European and international context are described and combined with the tendencies in teachers’ professional development and improvement of their classroom performance. With respect to the teachers’ experiences and needs, all the effective training programs shared the participants’ active engagement in the respective training activities and the interactive form of the course.
