Summary/Abstract: The article undertakes the issue of the way of communication through audiovisual media that is typical of the 21st century; its characteristics include digitalization, interactivity and a global range of effect. They make it possible for a super-continental network of information exchange to function. In global communication new models of communicating appear: allocution, conversation, consultation and registration, significantly influencing the situation of the sender and the recipient. Global communication that for many countries is the driving force of economic development, still is present only in affluent societies; poor or developing countries have a limited access to it, because of high cost of its implementation.
