The organizational problems of the theater in 1960-1980 (the systematization of the theater networks and strengthening of the material-teghnical basic)

Summary/Abstract: Analyzing the role of the Ukrainian theater in the developing of the social consciousness in 1960es-1980es, the author makes an attempt to research the activities of the artists and cultural managers. The purpose of the article is to show the necessary administrative measures of artists to improve the ideological-artist level of Ukrainian theatrical collectives. Methodology. The author uses such methods as analytical, historical, art critical and theoretical ones. The analytical method helps us to study the historical, art critical and cultural sources of the methodological basis of the researching of the Ukrainian theater in 1960es – 1980es. The author uses the historical method to show the peculiarities of the development of the Ukrainian theater in the researched period. The method of art criticism is applied to highlight the creative achievements of the Ukrainian theater. The theoretical one allows us to sum up the results of the researching. Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty of the article is the fact that the author is the first who analyses the archives and the official documents of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, concerned Ukrainian theater, in 1960es-1980es. In addition, the author researches the development of Ukrainian theater of the period and shows the importance of the systematization of the theatrical networks and the strengthening of the material-technical basis of their ideological-creative development. Conclusions. In the article, the author showed that the main state institution had taken the administrative measures, which had strengthened the Ukrainian theatrical development.
