The organisational problems of the theatre in 1960-1980 (the measures of the improvement of the theatrical workers’ professional skills)

Summary/Abstract: Analyzing the role of the Ukrainian theater in the developing of the social consciousness in 1960es-1980es, the author makes an attempt to research the activities of the artists and cultural managers. The purpose of the article is to show the repertoire and staff policy of the theatrical administrations in Ukrainian theatrical collectives. Methodology. The author uses such methods as analytical, historical, art critical and theoretical ones. The analytical method helps us to study the historical, art critical and cultural sources of the methodological basis of the researching of the Ukrainian theater in 1960es – 1980es. The author uses the historical method to show the peculiarities of the development of the Ukrainian theater in the researched period. The method of art criticism is applied to highlight the creative achievements of the Ukrainian theater. The theoretical one allows us to sum up the results of the researching. Scientific Novelty. The scientific novelty of the article is the fact that the author is the first who analyses the archives and the official documents of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, concerned Ukrainian theater in 1960es-1980es. In addition, the author researches the development of Ukrainian theater of the period and shows the importance of the repertoire and staff policy of the theatrical administrations and the strengthening of the theatrical development from independent Ukraine point of view. Conclusions. In the article, the author showed that the main state institution had taken the administrative measures, which had strengthened the Ukrainian theatrical development.
