Summary/Abstract: In the study the pop rock is characterized as an important part of Ukrainian popular music culture at the beginning of the 21st century. on the example of creative work of such bands as «SKAI», «Motor’rolla», «Antytila». Methodology. The research methodology lies in applying of integrated approach, which has allowed considering the work of Ukrainian bands, working in pop rock genre, as an integral phenomenon where poetry, music and video sequence appear in the synthesis. It is typical for minstrel tradition to which the rock music belongs. Scientific Novelty. The scientific novelty of the research is in the fact that for the first time in Ukrainian science the creative work of «SKAI», «Motor'rolla» and «Antytila» bands of 2000-s in the context of Ukrainian popular music culture are analysed. In particular, the subject areas of their creativity, style guidelines and video sequence in music videos are characterized. Based on the analysis of the main parameters of the pop rock study as a style of rock music that combines features of rock and pop music are found out. Conclusions. Pop rock combines the elements of rock music (unity of a musician, a poet and an artist, work collectivity, style personalization and social activity) and popular music, which nowadays is tightly connected with show business (standardization and cliché in the texts and music, producer’s instead of author’s creativity, concentration on the artist’s public image, music video as a tool of hit song presentation).
