It analyzes intrinsic and substantive features of the «theater of contemporaneity», which the author perceives as turning emotional experience into esthetic vision of the «energy theater», «theater of forces», «theater of states» setting new angles of rethinking and a new experience of esthetic reflection. Scientific Novelty. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that the attempt to get better understanding of contemporary trends correlates with the marking of the dominant aspect of comprehending the «theater of contemporaneity» – its action- and energy-based plan serving, in author’s opinion, as the main force that drives theatrical experiment – visual connection with polemical rhetoric semantic entity and polyphonic form of self-irony. Conclusions. The determination of the action- and energy-based plan of «thinking creativity» of the theater is manifested via emotional synesthesia – imagery and inter-sensual interpretation.
