Summary/Abstract: The phenomenon of trafficking in human organs is analyzed by the author of this article from the aspects of European Union positive legislative framework and dominant way of international police cooperation runs through International Criminal Police Organization-INTERPOL. The author inclines to perceive actual criminal law of the Republic of Serbia relates to trafficking in human organs and to compare it with European Union normative standards pointing out its essence and possible changes deems appropriate. Beside the normative point of view, the author shows the threat of trafficking in human organs considering the modern society given through the prism of INTERPOL’s standards, as a kind of organized criminal activities, making the ground for police approach in dealing with the topic. Handling with normative and police dimensions in this matter, the author intends to access establishing of the topic’s importance in the systematic way, as being initial for evaluative determining of criminal legislation functionality and efficiency of law enforcement agencies in the Republic of Serbia regarding European integration.
