Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the article is to clarify the characteristics of the method that determines the functional links and gravity towards cities on the basis of public transport connections. The paper delivers a detailed description of the method and provides examples of its application in empirical research conducted by the authors in the years 2010-2014.
