Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with viticulture and winemaking in early medieval Croatia. The author primarily relies on data that can be obtained from the diplomatic materials. Displaying characteristics of viticulture in the Middle Ages in Europe and Croatia and relying on data from the literature about the history of wine growing and wine production, the author attempts to interpret the data obtained from the diplomatic material.
