Summary/Abstract: Indentedness the Croatian coast is coming to the fore in the early medieval documents. There are elements of the coast indentedness mentioned quite often. These are usually associated with islands and bays of northern Dalmatia. The terms related to freshwater are mentioned fairly often with terms related to the developed coastline. Along the coast are particularly frequent religious buildings. Fishing grounds are especially important parts of the coastal area.
