Summary/Abstract: This article presents the most important changes within the rules of the electoral law to the Polish Parliament since the 2nd Republic of Poland, throughout the People’s Republic of Poland up to the 3rd Republic of Poland. At the same time, the period of the 3rd Republic of Poland, thanks to its topicality it was given the widest coverage. It has to be emphasised that during the 3rd Republic of Poland the electoral law to the Senate, unlike the electoral laws to the Seym, has not undergone any changes. Before the electoral law regulating the elections within the interwar period were described, the regulations referring to the rules of choosing the representatives to the Parliament existing during the partitions (so after 1795) were briefly mentioned within the introduction.
