Summary/Abstract: The subject of the framework of education – the question of the definition of values and understanding – is relevant in the context of the simulacra and simulation, which emerge in 21 century society. Thus, the article goes deep into the coherence of free education and Catholic education. This coherence is disclosed by pointing out that the features of the free education paradigm are determined by the methodological access of education and the correctness of its implementation in certain context. The starting point of the methodological access – values – and it is shown that the paradigm of free education is inseparable from valuable education. It is the theological aim of education and the view point of measurement of its results. Also, the development of values is related to the four cardinal virtues and three divine virtues. It is pointed out that Catholic education interacts with two dimensions: scientific and religious. These interactions enrich education science. Finally, it is shown that any deviation of values in education is dangerous and can become a simulacrum and simulation or even dissimulation.
