Summary/Abstract: The Yugoslav community is vitally interested in the greatest possible increase in productive employment in the socialist sector, i.e. associated labor. This is not only a prerequisite for a larger number of citizens to take part in the direct management of social affairs, but also for the further socialization of production and expansion of the economic foundations of associated labor, and thereby also for strengthening security and stability in society. These strategic considerations are also motivated by economic ones. The accelerated inclusion of the population able to work in associated labor (mainly in non-farming activities) is the essential economic precondition for overcoming still insufficiently developed socio-economic structures, and for ensuring more dynamic economic growth, a faster rise in the productivity of labor and living standards, and a more successful and more intensive integration of the national economy into the flows of contemporary technology.
