THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PLASTIC EXPRESSION OF CHILDREN IN THE PRESCHOOL AGE

Summary/Abstract: The child of pre-school age has the tendency of expressing personal experiences in the plastic papers. By observing the drawing process and the strategies that the child uses we are able to obtain information regarding the development level of the drawing abilities, planning and organisation also the influence of the obtained knowledge and the age of the child upon the final structure of the drawing. The research was made on a sample, made of 20 children (10 girls and 10 boys) from a kindergarten in the city Vârşeţ (Serbia). The main objective of the research was to determine the characteristics of the plastic expression of the children in pre/school age. The methods used in our research are: the method of observation and the method of analysis of the activity products (the children’s drawings). The project includes two themes – Me and my friends and a theme at choice.
